A combination of both performers and composers, Sonora is a musicians collective based in New York City that enhances artistic spaces with live music and sound art. Sonora Collective collaborates with contemporary artists to create vibrant performance experiences in special venues and installation spaces. Sonora creates custom concert programs that complement the performance space and also works closely with living composers to create new music works inspired by visual art. Our commitment to uniting artists together is the forefront of our mission; we aim to foster a greater love and engagement with the arts by creating an expanded experience between the artistic disciplines. The prize-winning musicians on our roster have appeared on world-class stages around the world, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and include members of the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
