Join Sonora Collective for an evening of chamber music with art by Vargas-Suarez Universal at Helm Contemporary (132 Bowery, NY, NY).
The musical program is inspired by Vargas-Suarez Universal's work and creative practices. The artist will be in attendance and will speak to his vision and process. Compositions for flute and strings by Pēteris Vasks, Vivaldi, Borodin, Ginastera, and more will be featured by Sonora Collective.
Performers to include Katie Althen-Velázquez (flute), Julia Danitz (violin), Jeremías Sergiani-Velàzquez (violin), Leah Ferguson (viola), and Clare Monfredo (cello).
