So I am extremely fortunate to have escaped the chaos of the big city and have been at my parents' house here in Pennsylvania for the past few weeks. There is no telling when I will return to NYC or when concerts, gigs, and live teaching will resume. I'm sure we are all tired of hearing the phrase "unprecedented times", but it's really what they are!
In an attempt to keep in flute playing shape and an attempt to keep myself from just watching the news 24/7, I have decided to read through and record an étude each day over on my YouTube channel. I'm not sure how long I can keep up this project (let's hope it's not 365 days of quarantined études...), but I thought that it would be a welcome distraction from all that is going on right now in the world.
I'm currently on day 4, and am enjoying revisiting some of my favorite Berbiguier studies from when I was younger. Here are my videos so far, along with links to where you can find the sheet music if you'd like to come along on this journey with me!
I hope you all are doing okay and staying safe and healthy!
